The JS1-12V-F is a Panasonic JS series power relay with a 12 V DC coil and a 1 Form C (SPDT) contact arrangement, in a compact cube case with a universal terminal footprint. It is designed to switch a mains load from a low-voltage control signal, and its silver-tin-oxide contacts resist welding under the inrush current of a motor, a lamp or a capacitive load, which is the failure mode that limits an ordinary power relay. The nominal switching capacity is 10 A at 250 V AC or 5 A at 30 V DC for a resistive load, and the relay is sealed so the board can be washed after soldering without contaminating the contacts.
